Only Clemson Tiger an NFL HOF. An animal on the field. Unsure Dawkins would be a fit for Coach Dabo Swinney who prefers a tamer mindset.

I was about to add that our coaches may not put up with it lol.

But regardless of what your culture is, there’s nothing wrong with how ruthless he was. It’s football. The game has changed.

Not sure. He was/is a huge supporter in the community and was recognized for off the field contributions as well as on.

That’s what I’m saying. Honestly, we haven’t had full confident group in the secondary since Mullen and Terrell. Terrell is a terrific young corner in the NFL, but he didn’t perform well in the playoff in 2019 (LSU). And then Booth was our only real guy with that edge.

But this year, Wiggins and Mukuba have shown some confidence and the whole group looks fast and lengthy. Really like Covil too. Just want some guys that’ll go hit the QB and go up and get balls.

Love Dawkins and many others for their achievements and talents but all the rah rah, vocal antics and intimidation tactics don’t amount to a hill of beans. I think the average play in a football game is about 4-6 seconds, I think using 110% of energy during those 4 to 6 seconds is what earns the money and pays the bills. Same way with wild celebrations after every single play. Save that energy for the 4th quarter.
