Braves season

So far the Braves are 25-11 and opened their series with the Red Sox with a win.

Max Fried, who has been the ace of the staff during the past few years, was put on the IL with a strain. I’m guessing that’s not overly serious.

Spencer Strider is now in a position of leader because of Fried’s absence. I don’t believe we’ve had a Cy Young winner from Clemson, but Spencer looks like the clear best National League pitcher, but Kershaw has been dealing.

Ronald Acuna Jr. is having one of his best years so far. Placed 1st in the initial MVP race. He had a rough go last year coming off that ACL, but he’s healthy now and looks like he’s 100%.

The Braves lead the NL East by 7.5 games over the Marlins in 2nd place. Don’t expect the Mets to be in contention, but watch the Phillies with Harper back. Atlanta is in the top-3 overall teams in multiple sources, and is looking to make the NLCS.

There’s really no better team at the moment. I think getting another World Series may solidify Atlanta’s franchise to a point where it’s a destination along the East coast. This is another great team, but there’s a couple positions that could be replaced with other great players around the league. Just Ozuna for example. He’s actually been hitting extremely well recently, but he’s kind of outgrown his days.

It’s another World Series potential year.

Is it me or does it seem Fried is on the IR a good bit?

Still wishing I could find a way to consistently watch. If they are not on Fox or Apple TV I can no longer watch them.

Just look into some streaming sites if you care enough. There’s multiple.

You may be think of Kyle Wright in the IL a lot. Who is on the IL again! Wright’s barely played ever.

If this rotation is 100%, with very good relievers like Nick Andersen, AJ Minter, Iglaseas, Chavez, etc., then it’ll be scary for other teams.

They are certainly playing well but if they can’t resolve some of these pitching injury issues I don’t think they’ll be able to keep it up. They’ve gotten great help from the young guys but I’d be surprised if that lasts all season. I also don’t see the Mets and Phil’s staying where they are.

Either way they are a playoff team and in baseball it’s all about getting hot at the right time.

2nd time Fried has been on the IL this year. Jimmy Key was a runner-up in 1987 to Roger Clemmons for the Cy Young.
