Had to send the coot homer (you can tell when he is doing the sports and talks about the coots, and even if not a coot homer, should have never said it). Being the closest TV outlet near Clemson, I have a problem with it.

That's unacceptable. I sent him an email telling him that if he didn't cut it out, I was gonna have my son beat the ish out of his son at school. My son is in 6th grade and his son is in 3rd. I also told him that if he didn't start putting the Tigers at the top of every one of his discussions that I'd egg his house. So hopefully he's learned his lesson and is worried.

I know he is from Tx,,,,,but just listen to his segments when talking about both Clemson and coots. It is very evident at the beginning of football season, and so during baseball and basketball
My skin is just fine, btw. If you had heard him, you would know it was a dig.

I saw an 11 minute rap up of the first poll. Clemson wasn't even mentioned. Most of the talk was about bammer and the rest about the big 12. Clemson is mentioned basically in passing since they should and do tell you who is ranked. Other than that, we haven't gotten much coverage. This guy is another idiot who runs his mouth while at the same time he is clueless.

Hope you do realize you are right there at Clemson and people can make or break you. Don't know if you are a Clemson fan or not, but that comment sounded like you really wanted to put Clemson down.

Thanks for writing.. Its simply a phrase used to describe the sheer amount of attention over the course of 24 hours the program has received.. I never said the attention was a bad thing.. ad nauseum also means “an excessive amount” – Which accurately describes the college football world’s reaction to the first CFB Playoff rankings.. no matter which team is ranked No. 1..
We are not fans of any team we cover.. We cover the teams because it is our job..
It was simply a phrase to describe how much they are being talked about.. For a fan.. that should be a good thing!

While it does carry the meaning of excessive, you seem to fail to understand the full meaning. I have never heard the phrase used as a good thing. Your choice of words was terrible and IMO, you owe an apology.

I did not argue with him. I just gave him the definitions. I defended the Tigers and always will. But, thanks for caring enough to respond.
