Brad did nothing tonight that changes

My feeling that we need a new coach. I’ve seen this movie before. The Adm will probably use this to give him an extension. What about the BC game, what about beating VA in their house and getting beat by 10 in our own house, what about looking so bad against Syracuse- a terrible team this year. If we had played this way against them we would have won all 3 of those games and we would still have a chance to go to the tournament. However that ship has now sailed. A good coach gets the best out of his team each night out. We did not have the same effort in those games.

But probably can only lose one or two more. A win at home vs Duke would be huge. At FSU is always tough...

Yep. I mean, we've won games like this under BB before, only to lose to the ACC bottom dweller the next two games... even had we won it shouldn't have changed anyone's opinion of this regime

Ask someone that knows basketball, ask Coach K. Your expectations are unrealistic but after all the years Coach Brownell has had, I don't disagree we may need a change. The harsh reality is that a change will not make much difference. Look at history because it does not lie.

It takes a special coach. They aren't easy to find. But they do exist

Great response. I for one think it’s possible for us to find that guy. ADs in past have not been good in hiring BB coaches. It is time to move on. Brad is a great X and O guy snd runs a clean operation but he is not a very good recruiter and makes coaching mistakes in close games.

The guys played their hearts out and shot just under 50% from 3 point. You aren't going to shoot that hot every game.

I think they played great tonight but like you said this isn’t the first time we have played great agaisnt top 10 teams then fall to lesser teams the majority of the season … I think the overall plan tonight was great but did not like the defense called late game … we had two fouls to give and decided to let them run it all the way down without gettin aggressive at all… which is coaching but again I liked the effort tonight for sure … FTs were a huge part of it too

You likely are incorrect with that view. This Clemson team has played much better when Chase Hunter has gotten meaningful playing time. Had that been done early season, we might have split or won the two lost games in Charleston and the Miami and our UVa home game; even Miami game down there in December. But a following post about playing well every time out is going to be an evaluation tool for rest of this year.
We lost tonight and played our best game of the year. Outrebounded a bigger and more talented Duke bunch abd even had fewer turnovers at their place.
That was the best 40 minutes of MBB I have seen Clemson play for a while on the road. Maybe someone on the staff has found the 'magic mix' from this roster. I sure hope so.

Chase Hunter struggled in Charleston. He started improving after when he started playing better. But the defense until this past week was disappointing before.

You are wrong about Chase. I attended the games in Charleston and Chase was horrible anytime he was in the game. He could not make a layup,( I think he had 11 layup missises in a row) and I wondered, as did others watching, how Brownell could justify putting him in any game. He appeared so uncomfortable playing. I suggested then that he was probably playing great in practice with his teammates and the coach knew it was just a matter of time before he became more relaxed in the games.
It was very disappointing to see how few Clemson fans attended this tournament when the other school's fans really showed up. It appears that Brownell has lost much of the fan base.

Maybe we could hire the Louisville coach. Perfect resume and everything needed from the university to win but could not get it done. Much harder to win at Clemson and a coaching change could push us in one of two ways. History says it won’t end well but good luck anyway
