If we finish the acc with only 2Ls then we will have some more quality wins and will certainly be looked at differently. Our NET ranking will continue to move up as well. I hope we win the rest of our games. Just saying if we finish the year with around double digit Ls and are on the bubble our SOS is going to really hurt us and our NET ranking being so low is not good. It's crazy we are winning the acc but still this low in the rankings is what I'm pointing out.

You’d have to ask the committee that question. I’m just providing facts.
No team has ever lost two quad 4 games and received an at-large selection. We are on track to break that, but we can’t afford any bad losses the rest of the way.

You cited an 'algorithm', then deferred to a committee on how to interpret the results of said algorithm.
Exactly how is any team adjudged Q1 or Q4 two games into a season? How long is the past considered the 'here and now'? Doesn't sound like an algorithm that's based in reality...simply based on ... something else.

Some people man. It's not like we are saying we are not a great team. We have played dang good ball in acc play and I'm proud of our guys. That doesn't mean anything to the committee if we don't finish strong tho and have those quad 4 Ls. We need to win about 2/3s of the rest of our games for me to feel safe on selection Sunday. I believe we certainly can. Hopefully we win them all.

If we finish out with only 3 or 4 Ls in the acc I don't think it will be an issue. If we split the rest of I ur regular season games or just barely have more wins then Ls then it's deff not a good look on selection Sunday to have 2 quad 4 Ls. That's all I'm saying. Hopefully it's not an issue and this team continues to win games. We really need to best Miami or UVA.

Several other losses on top of their quad 4 losses?
My guess is that most teams that make the tourney at large simply have 1 quad 4 loss or zero.
My guess is there have been teams that ended up in the NIT with two quad 4 losses plus several other losses.
My guess is that we are a rare case.
Eventually if you win enough games, it ceases to matter. This team seems intent on doing that.
And before someone says it, the seeding is not the big deal. For Clemson, it’s get a bid and win a first round game and then everything else is gravy.
Along the way, if we can snag a top 4 ACC seed and get to the semifinals with 1 win, I’d love to see this team have a shot at a conference title.

Obviously if we finish the acc like we started the Ls will not be an issue. If we split our games the rest of the way tho those quad 4 Ls could be very costly. I'd like to see us get 7 or 8 more Ws and win the acc regular season and the acc tourney but who knows what will happen. I'm just saying we are 9-1 in the acc yet are 56 in NET. If we don't finish as strong as we started acc play we could be in trouble on selection sunday.

Let's compare Clemson to say Kentucky in the net rankings. Kentucky is 14-6 and 33 in net ranking, Clemson 17-4 and 56 in the net ranking. Both lost to the gamecocks , one at home, the other on the road. Kentucky has the better win at Tn, and their OOC schedule is strong, but they lost to the opponents that make the schedule strong. Hard to wrap your head around how there is a 23 place desparity between the 2. The pundits say the ACC is down, and I will admit that it's not what it use to be, but It's still pretty good. Just continue winning Tigers. If they give us an 8,9,10 or play in game, prove them wrong!! Go Tigers!

I’ve said this a few times here. NET is not just looking at win or lose. It’s looking at efficiency metrics, game control, and scoring margin.
We didn’t just lost to Loyola. We got killed. That blowout loss to quad 4 is the reason we are so behind in NET.

We have one quality win and it was at home. Penn St is a decent win ooc which helps a little. We need them win some games. The ACC is certainly down. There is 1 team inside the top 30 in net rankings. I doubt that has ever been the case in the acc. We need to finish the year strong and keep our Ls under 8 or it will be a worrisome Sunday come selection time if we have 10 or 11 Ls.
