In years past we’ve had mobile QB’s and home run playmakers that would’ve gotten us the win in spite of the lackluster OL play. That’s sports for you. Players come and go. The younger guys will grow up and get experience under their belt. DJU is a great athlete but he’s no DW4 or TL. Few people are and that’s why both of those guys were top draft picks. We’ve been spoiled in that regard and need to accept the fact that not all of our QBs will play to their level. DJU and his dad are great ambassadors for the program. And though I’m not talking about you some of these people on here need to stop with all the shade thrown at DJU.

You are spot on. There was absolutely no fear on Georgia's part that our receivers could run by them. If we have speed, we have to find a way to use it.

Everything we tried to do offensively was contested by a great defense. I believe some playmakers with home run capabilities will emerge on this offense but the Georgia defense was just a tough out for the first game. It’s like I said, my comment about DJ wasn’t aimed at you. You’re just one of the few level headed people I can vent to about some of the nonsense I see on the board this morning. I waited for almost 2 decades for Clemson to get back to where we were in the 80s. We are there and have gone way beyond that. Throwing our players and coaches under the bus after a loss to a top 5 team after all they’ve done is ridiculous.

And there were many ""open receivers"" all night __ DJ seemed to zero in on the receiver and play called, regardless if they were covered -- many times, the running back was open in the flat,as a safety valve ( but never used ??? ) -- over the middle,the short man was open,but he threw to the ""homerun receiver or out of bounds __ just a bad night I hope,and hoping we improve as the season goes** GO TIGERS !!!
