USF transfer commits to Clemson
Former USF guard David Collins (6-4 220) announced a commitment to Clemson on Tuesday. Collins is using his NCAA waiver season after four years at South Florida. Collins averaged 12.5 points and 3.4 assists per game last season. Read Update » |

Good get to replace Newman. I definitely think it’s an upgrade. He seems to be a better shooter and passer than Newman.
He averaged double figures all 4 years at USF. he is 7th on their all time scoring list.

Hopefully, he is the replacement for Trapp we need. Still need an experienced big man transfer. Still shaking my head at O-max transfer. He would have played huge minutes next year if he was willing to do what coaches wanted.

This gives us that bigger guard/swing player we really needed. He can obviously score, and seems to be a pretty good defender as well.

I had my eye on him when he mentioned I
us as one of the teams he has heard from. I was really down when we finished 2nd for Mathis from Rutgers. This is just as good of a get and an upgrade from Newman and Trapp.
Now an athletic win who can play either forward position and we are set.

We have a couple of good ones who can play there in Hall and Kidd. I would rather have an O-Max type athlete who can defend and score.
