Some poster’s ex-wife invited me to the opener

I got a little sauced at Buffalo Wild Wings last night. I was with my buddy Dennis discussing how we were going to spend the money we collected for our fantasy football league’s season. One of us winning is a certainty so we’re going to blow it all in a weekend at either Myrtle or Cherokee.

Anyhow, Dennis had to leave to work his shift at the hospital but I stayed for a few more drinks. I ended up meeting a couple women who were having a GNO. One of them recently divorced and was giving me signals. She let me know she was a huge Clemson fan when she saw part of the Tiger tattoo on the inside of my thigh when I hiked up my shorts to readjust. She apparently got Clemson season tickets as part of the divorce settlement…mainly to stick it to her ex.

She asked if I wanted to go to the Furman game with her, parking included. I felt kind of bad bad for saying yes. It crossed my mind that one of my Clemson brothers would probably be pissed off that I’m using his seat. I also felt bad because the woman is pretty thick and older than the girls I normally date.

I get a little chatty after more than six Red Bull and vodkas and I mentioned how I was looking forward to checking TigerNet before going to bed. She said her ex was on here and asked what my name was. She texted her ex to ask if he’d take the kids for the night even though she was supposed to have them and asked if he knew me. I’ll spare the board the expletives that followed in his response, but let’s just say I’m not his favorite poster.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that I’m sorry to one of you. I’m still going to use your ticket and I’m probably going to do whatever your ex wants me to do if the tickets are good and she invites me to the NC State game. But I’m willing to be the bigger man and let bygones be bygones. I hope you understand and find it in your heart to still be friends.

Oddly, I didn’t order any wings. I thought it was going to be a quick in and out with only a handful of drinks, so I just ordered the chips and queso. After going through four orders, I realized I probably should have ordered wings. I made up for the lack of protein by drinking two bottles of muscle milk before going to bed.
