The truth is we aren't sending $50 million worth of condoms anywhere.

This completely undercuts his argument that he'll "quickly correct" his mistakes. And it 100% sounds like what a politician would say when he talks out both sides of his mouth.

It also begs the question of who is going to "correct" Elon when he makes mistakes. He clearly can't be the one trusted to do it and it's certainly not going to be Trump who is dumb as a rock and fully supports chaos/nonsense, so what person or government apparatus is going to "correct" Elon's mistakes?

people who aren't lifelong technocrats and bureaucrats are doing an audit of the Government bureaucracy - HOW DARE THEY!!

What I find rich is that the Democrats and their stenographers in the Corporate Press hate Trump and Elon Musk so much that they will literally say anything and go to any length to defend the current status quo of reckless Government spending. Some will even deny that Government waste actually exists and that Musk's DOGE team are simply making it all up.

DOGE isn't making up anything - they are simply mapping specifics to what the GAO has already stated exists; that fraud accounts for $233 Billion to $521 Billion Annually and that the Government makes so many improper payments ($236 Billion in FY23) that they estimate this has cost the Government (i.e. taxpayers) $2.3 TRILLION dollars over the last 20 years.

These GAO reports aren't new - came out in the Spring of 2024. So why didn't anyone - particularly Democrats who ran these agencies until a few weeks ago - do anything about these GAO findings?? They did what they always do with GAO reports - show a concerned look for about 5 minutes and then ignore it. That's because the DC Swamp doesn't really want to do anything about it. But now that an Administration is actually serious about cleaning up this mess - OMG Elon Musk and DOGE are SATAN and we will fight for our Bureaucratic grift till our dying breath!!

So spare me the Elon Musk and DOGE outrage and that what they are uncovering is fake. DOGE is just giving granularity and specifics to what the GAO has already said exists and instead of ignoring it as usual - the new Departments heads are actually taking a look at it to rid us of the waste.
