Big Goals

Big Goals
In yesterday's blog I wrote about the importance of winning in November. This year the Tigers won't win the division or the conference, but major accomplishments are still on the table.

Clemson will be favored in each of the last four regular season games. According to ESPN a

Biggest remaining goal: End that SCAR winning streak!!

Nov 5, 2014, 7:12 PM

These seniors can become the winning-est group in Clemson history.

They will have surpassed all of the great teams of the 1980s that are so revered by fans.

But, being win-less against SCAR will tarnish the record.

It's high time to put an end to all that and also take their rightful place among the greatest in Clemson history.

Just do it ... win out and BEAT THE gAMEcOCKS!!

The record should be the fewest losses.... this class has the advantage of playing more games than any class in school history...

Yawn . . . nothing really wrong with that article . . . .

other than that "big goals" remaining doesn't mean much more than that he games haven't been played yet. It's doable, but there are some serious problems and question marks right now. I guess I'm in the minority, but I am pretty darn worried about Tech and Carolina - even with Watson. Less worried with him than without, but still . . .

Every season since 2009 we hear that "Clemson can still beat Carolina." That's like saying "Obama could still be a good president b/c his term's not over yet," technically true, but it ain't lookin' hopeful.

Not that GT and SC are by any means sure losses, but there are reasons for caution.
