As Putin eyes Ukraine

Feb 18, 2022, 7:51 PM

Do any of you conservatives still feel as closely aligned with Russian ideals and principles as you did when Trump was in office?

I mean, I remember seeing a lot of T-Shirts like this not so long ago....

But Putin isn’t invading Ukraine. Their economy is almost as bad as ours is. They’re not stupid and won’t occupy a country when they don’t have the money to do so. They’re not us.

The only possible chance there will be “war” is if we either create something and call it a false flag or back Russia into a corner with sanctions and they feel like they have no other choice.

But my guess is nothing happens and sippy cup Brandon claims a huge victory saying it was his amazing diplomacy and steady hand.

Now… these people signed up to lay it on the line for military contractors. They signed up to invade places we shouldn’t be so that Raytheon execs can buy yachts. And then military leadership gets their guts beaten out by a bunch of cave people with almost hundred year old riffles. And what do we do? Arm them to the teeth because our military couldn’t figure out that they should take their gear that we paid for with them.

But you’re not free to say what you want!

Everything I said was 110% true. My great grandfather was at Normandy. I appreciate his sacrifice and the men who fought in legitimate wars for a military that fought for good. That’s not today’s military. So I do not support them. And I will not “go somewhere else”. I’m free to have that opinion because back when we had a military and a constitution, men fought and died for that freedom. They’d be ashamed to know you’re just handing all they fought for over to tyrants. Kind of pathetic if you ask me. I guess anyone who thinks military contractors are bad is a tin foil hat lunatic to you, though.

Young man, I’m assuming that’s your preferred pronoun, I’m going to help a little with reading comprehension that you may struggle with. The statement “ At least show some appreciation for those who have allowed you to run your ignorant mouth”, covers freedom of speech. I should apologize for using foul language. After further reading of your posts I’ve realized you are a minor and that is no way to talk to a child.

My hope is that you can get plugged into a boys and girls club or something similar in your area so that you can find a solid male role model to help you mature into an adult. I’m sure it’s been tough not having a dad around most of your life. My mom missed most of mine, I can tell you that it’s not your fault.

Lastly, make sure your mom is ok with you being on a forum talking back and forth with adults. Middle school is a tough time and I’m sure she drives you crazy but she loves you and wants what’s best for you. So just keep her in the loop so she can help you make the best decisions.

Good luck young fella! Stay focused on those studies and in time you could be on your way to getting a degree from Clemson University!

Can’t argue with well laid out points so you have to talk about someone’s parents. Let’s just pretend I am a middle schooler. One of the first things you learn in history is that Afghanistan is the graveyard of empires. Then you learn not to invade Russia in winter. We’re 50% of the way there and possibly days away from completing both, but because your team is sponsored by people getting rich off these stupid mistakes you love it. It’s so patriotic to send our young men to die to line the pockets of Raytheon execs. Gotta take 30% of everything we all make to make sure those military contractors can feed their families.

Thanks for listening. I’ll let you get back to your Matlock.

Both of my grandfathers served in Korea and Vietnam while I’m currently serving and have been to Iraq twice and Afghanistan once. I’ve worked hand in hand with with people of both countries and can tell you we were making a difference. Should we have been there for as long as we were or for free no. Still doesn’t mean it’s all political nonsense.

Sounds like you know nothing about the military so you should do some research before spewing your ignorant opinion on here. Yes, anyone who hasn’t been to Iraq or Afghanistan

Feb 19, 2022, 12:36 PM

Couldn’t possibly fathom the facts of the matter.
1. Iraq was not a threat to us before we overthrew Saddam.
2. ISIS popped up because we left a power vacuum. ISIS is a huge threat to us and the rest of the world.
3. Iraq is no better off under ISIS control than they were under Saddam.
4. Military contractors got filthy rich off that war.
5. America is poorer because of it, and the situation there is more unstable.

6. Afghanistan is now under taliban rule, which is a bad thing.
7. The Taliban knows we aren’t going back in there and are emboldened to do whatever they want.
8. We put a band aid of temporary improvements on the problem there and spent trillions to do it.
9. The Taliban is now one of the top 10 well armed forces because y’all left all that stuff we paid for there for them.
10. America is poorer because of that war and Afghanis are currently no better off under the Taliban than they were pre-9/11.
11. Military contractors got filthy rich off of that war.
12. We knew the forces we were training would never be able to hold the Taliban, and wasted all of those resources anyway.

Unless you can explain how it’s awesome to live under ISIS or Taliban control, you have no leg to stand on. And all we did was waste a lot of money and arm bad guys. And when level headed people like myself were against these wars in the first place and asked what winning looks like and what our exit strategy was, we were laughed at and called unpatriotic conspiracy nuts because our military could surely wipe out the bad guys and train new good guys to take over.

Here was your exit strategy in Afghanistan:
Okay, all troops retreat to the airport.
Those weapons? Leave them in a pile. Park the tanks and leave the keys in them.
We have an embassy here? I guess burn everything in it.
The people inside? Oh, tell them to head to the roof and we’ll send a helicopter I guess.
Oh crap, we left a ton of people who helped us and American citizens high and dry. I guess if they can sprint to the planes and hang onto a wing they can come with us.
Any Afghani who can make it to the plane can have a free ride to America too I guess. No need to vet them.

Trump was and is light years bette than Biden. Trump had a favorable bias toward one group other than the American patriot and that is the Zionists. Twitter and Trump did not go together but the media did him no favors and he loved messing with them. Main reason I voted for the guy was because I knew both sides did not like him. In Washington with all the lobbying you have to be in bed with someone and figured he must have pissed a lot of them off. Tired of career politicians. I believe there were Antifa winners arrested as well on Jan 6. Grouping protesters on either side of the aisle Antifa or whoever was at the capital is narrow minded. This is a great big country and in the grand scheme of millions on both sides this equated to a what I considered the fringe that does not represent the majority of either side. But if we are not going to condemn one for trying to burn cities and intimidate the police then we shouldn’t be condemning the other side. Kind of hypocritical. Guessing it was ok for folks to be holding a severed head of our last President as well. Man this shizz show has gone on for years and it all boils down to one thing… the media and who you believe to be telling you the truth. Hoping not many are on just one news source because they are all a little slanted. In studying end time prophecy I have often wondered as to what will be the demise of the US. We have nukes and the best military in the world so the only thing I can come up with and it seems to playing out in the last 10 years especially is the country being destroyed from within. There is no middle ground anymore. Progressives are trying to high jack the Democrat party which makes the gap even larger. I really hope things will get turned around but I’m afraid it will take something pretty awful to change our current course.

But to your point, as soon as Putin starts killing Americans or our allies (our real allies that you can give an actual reason we should defend them), then I’ll be open to discussing potential WW3 scenarios. Not over Ukraine.

Did they find that out from Hillary and her secret government server in her house. 5 years they have tried their damnest to tie him with Russia and have failed on all fronts. Put this out there because some seem very slow. This country has spent millions on investigations brought up 2 impeachments and have not charged the man with 1 thing. Think about that especially seeing we are currently 30 trill in the hole.

and I was a Republican from 1980 until Trump won in 2016.

Trump is all about himself, he cares nothing about the rest of us. He is dumb as a brick. In the early days of Covid 19 he told a group at his Press Conference that you can treat Covid 19 with disinfectant.

That was the dumbest thing I have ever seen. I actually felt sorry for him for about 5 minutes.

I watch multiple news outlets and you do not get to where Trump is by being dumb as a brick. Biden don’t care about you. He is more worried about executive orders on transgenders. When has a Democrat lowered your taxes. I have voted for 30 years and they have done nothing for me the middle class. Never understood how anyone that has to work for a living vote for folks that want to #### your money away on people that don’t want to help themselves. I’m all for helping those disabled and are not able to do but I’m not for anyone that gets rewarded for doing nothing. Democrat party left their base years ago and now the Progressives are coming in to be sure they sever all ties.

sentence is 100% of what has happened to the Republican Party with Trump as their leader. I will happily go back to the Republican Party after he leaves because he has ruined the Republican Party I voted with from 1980, until Trump became the Republican Party leader in 2016.

Brandon: okay, you can work now

Brandon: I added more jobs than any other president.

Get real. Quit carrying weight for team blue and just admit our economy sucks and it was a bad idea to print money at alarming rates.

And btw, when your intel agencies are dead wrong AGAIN, will you apologize for accusing Russia of aggression when there was none?

lol come on man you believe that. Every business where I Iive has now hiring signs up with limited hours because no one will work. You must be following Rachael Maddow or Joy Beher. McDonalds has 15 an hour offerings because no one will work. Yep 15 dollars an hour to flip a hamburger. I hire myself and right now we are offering cash incentives if you can bring us someone that ends up getting hired. 401k dwindling I guess because of this Ukraine deal. One positive I heard they have finally acknowledged inflation so I guess that’s progress. Gas was 1.79 when Trump left office, right now at my house we are sitting at 3.39. Thought we had become energy independent? What happen Biden try to fix that issue as well like he has done at the Border. It’s one #### show after the next with this guy and the only thing democrats can say is shut up man, conspiracy theory, Antifa is great it’s the people at the capital that’s the big problem. Blah blah blah

Banking cartels, the Fed monetary policy, Trade agreements, and Corporate fascism, have more to do with a strong economy than a President does alone. Trump's economic savvy was his strongest point. America first scared the mess out of China and their domestic allies in the US.

Feb 18, 2022, 8:15 PM [ in reply to Many genuinely want Russia to succeed as much as possible ]

Very asinine comment. Who in their right mind wants that. It was a known that Russia and China wanted Trump out because he didn’t patronize them. Now in the first year of the Biden admin China looks to take over Taiwan and Russia grew some balls and is threatening Ukraine. Coincidence maybe…but it’s not very complex. I’m more concerned with the rise in crime in this particular nation that I live in. Anyone on here feel safe taking your family to New York or Chicago. I also worry with that big hole the Biden admin left open on the border. Admin seems worried about Covid but we are letting people flow into the country. That’s one simple thing the President is directly responsible for securing our borders. Is he doing a good job? I guess if you vote Democrat it’s no issue or it’s some conspiracy of some sorts blah blah blah. Same shizz different day.

We have spent millions of taxpayers dollars on investigating BS and still no crime has been found. Waste of time and money. Now the AG in New York is going to give it a try that will be fun to watch.
