Seriously, my wile and I went in July when I went for my dads 80th Birthday party, we enjoyed it very much but we did have to ask for table lamps to see the menu.

Their steak especially the Ribeye is good. I'm surprised that OP fell out of favor with Pixie&Bills, I've never had a bad meal there. I've got family ties with P&Bs but I've always enjoyed their food and atmosphere.

I ordered a 12 oz. Ribeye medium at a Logan's Roadhouse in Charleston WV today. Maybe that was a mistake. MR might be the max for that cut. Anyway the half with the loosely layered muscle was mid rare and the other end which was much denser, like a strip steak was mid well. The worst part was the whole thing was only slightly above room temperature. I have the worst luck getting a steak cooked to my liking.

The Peddler in Greenville or The Strip Club in Greer. Both are very good and affordable compared to many alternatives. The Peddler is 15-20 minutes closer to Clemson.

at Chophouse 47 a couple of times. One time the waiter brought me a cup of coffee with lipstick stains on it and like no big deal.
The other time I ordered a filet medium well and they brought it burned on the outside and gooey bloody on the inside (at Chophouse 47).
My favorite is Rick's Grill downtown.

Hall's Chophouse.
Bar Menu is more affordable if you are not trying break the bank. Easily the best place for drinks and lunch on the weekends. Drinks are skrong.

Larkins, Halls Chophouse, Peddler, either of the Rick Erwins. All in Gville.
All have pretty good steaks, but I've personally gotten to the point that I rarely order a steak when out. My wife and I and even my in-laws just prefer the way that I prepare steak.

The best steak I have ever had was at Rick Erwin's West End Grill.
And, I typically prefer how I cook steaks over some of the places here in Greenville and Greer.

They're expensive, but the bone-in steaks(Strip, tomahawk, and filet) at Larkins area really good for a restaurant steak.
Best restaurant steak I've had was at Bourbon & Bones in Scottsdale. Had a Japanese Wagyu NY Strip.

The usual suspects...Larkins, Hall's, Peddlar are all good but TBH right now I think the best steak is at Trappe Door in Downtown Greenville. It's beside Barley's Taproom on Washington St. Great atmosphere and incredible food.

My wife and I had our first date at Pixie and Bills. Have eaten there many times since and never had a bad meal. As for as some place else I like The Blue Herring, The Peddler, Halls and Chop House 47 are all good choices.

There are flavor nuances, service superlatives, and dining experience perks when it comes to enjoying a steak at Hall’s or Strip Club, but if you’re into delicious steaks, it’s very difficult to beat Texas Roadhouse ribeyes. Outstanding flavor and outstanding value relative to fine dining establishments.

I'd take a Longhorns ribeye over TX roadhouse any day but thats just my opinion. Best #### ribeye I've ever had was charcoal grilled in my on back yard.

I'm going to give my 2 cents. I don't live in the area but the last time I was that way me and the misses was looking for an early supper (yes its supper not dinner, dinner is lunch) we stopped off 85 where the Top Golf place is and I believe Chophouse was over there but we stopped Logan's. It was the first time at that establishment and I don't know if they were just having an on day or what but it was by FAR the best mid-tier steak house we've been to. The appetizers were at the tables in less than 10 mins and the main course less than 10 minutes after that. Everything was piping hot and delicious. Would highly recommend just based on my experience. It was a 10 out of 10 for my wife and I. We venture out a few times a week at Applebee's, Outback, Texas Roadhouse, Longhorns and the like but our trip to that specific Logan's was hands down the best and very affordable.

Just buy you a locally raised half share of a certified angus steer, grass fed grain finished, dry aged for 28 days, custom cut and vacuum sealed and you will never care to buy another steak at a restaurant again. T mail me if you want info.

I used to love the Peddler, especially their salad bar. However, last time we went, about a year ago, the steak I got was not great. It was an average steak that you could get at any chain restaurant. I will give it another try though. Maybe Covid at the time caused the service to be downgraded.

BERNS in Tampa is absolutely an excellent Steak. The peddler in Florence used to crush the ones in the upstate but that was decades ago. The Char from the grill at Golden corral in Anderson is amazing however they use a cheap ### cut of sirloin.

Pixie and Bill’s can’t compete with Greenville’s offerings.
Rick Erwin’s would be the only place to consider in Clemson, but I recommend going to Rick Erwin’s West End Grille in Greenville instead. It’s an amazing restaurant. Hall’s Chophouse is great as well. These two restaurants have steaks as good as you’ll find anywhere in the Carolinas.

Steak has gotten SOOOOOO expensive over the last decade going out though. Put me in the camp that I’d prefer to just cook my own.
