Best places to eat in Lexington,KY?

Sep 20, 2016, 3:04 PM

I have never been before.

I'm Asking for recommendations for Thursday lunch. Preferably places that can accommodate very large groups, as I will be with about 60 Clemson fans.

If you're going to be there till Sunday they're going to be serving chicken because the gamecocks are going to get stopped by the Wildcats Saturday night!

And your fresh sirloin grilled in front of your eyes to your liking. And I'm not above sticking my finger in the chocolate fountain licking my fingers and doing it one more time. I've seen others do it that's why I know it's ok. Should be a hell of a game. I was hoping to see if they'd show the game simultaneously on the screen in Death Valley. That would be sweet!

The Blue Door Smokehouse is the highest rated place on Tripadvisor. I go there when looking for good places to eat.

For Clemson fans only the whole day before we head into the stadium for the game??

I'm just glad that one idiot in our group who thought it was in Lexington, SC finally admitted he was wrong

I live in Lexington and Malone's is the top choice. Not far down the road from me.

Your budget guidelines might help a bit.

Sep 20, 2016, 4:16 PM

how do you feel about horse meat?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not a very big place, but Red State BBQ is phenomenal.

Sep 20, 2016, 4:33 PM

Stopped there on the way to Louisville to see Secretariat's burial site and Red State is about 3 miles away. A few months later, it appeared in Southern Living.
