I just dont get how we keep losing in OL Recruiting!

Last year it was Cade Mays, and now it is Webb.

Is it Caldwell's fault? Is he not up to what it takes for OL Recruiting? If so, why is Dabo hanging on to him? If Best is the Standard, how come we are not getting the Best OLs?

Oh god! Somebody please explain!

1. our OL/run offense doesn't pass the 'eye test'. we have yards but we don't dominate folks at the point of attack like many others (AL, GA, LSU, MSU, WISC)

2. we don't have many OL's that have made a career in the pro's like many others do (see above).

3. i don't know the man personally or his work habits, but by all accounts RC is getting out worked by our competition, and he is not the dynamic personality like his competition is.

4. talking heads don't do us any favors in dispelling the finesse vs. power comparison vs. the SEC.

5. for better or worse, we recruit a 'different' type of prospect, so the coaching staff is not willing to go after many, many prospects so this approach effects every position group including the OL.

6. Our competition does a GREAT job of subtle and not so subtle negative recruiting against us- see all the points above.
