Reasons Clemson OL will be better this season..

- Emphasis after bad showing last year
- Thomas Austin (was OL coach at Georgia State) - good combo with Caldwell
- Actually able to have proper off-season conditioning
- Overall upgrade of depth of talent on OL (recent recruiting)

Let's hope so. As we all know, it is the key to the entire season.
If that OL performs, this team is right in line for a legit crack at another naitonal championship. The other peices are there.

Did you guys only recently start following Clemson sports?
The line last year was better than any O-Line we had under Bowden, Hatfield, or West…
It could definitely be worse…

First, the past two years the OL was absolutely terrible. Just as bad as under those other coaches.
Second, using those coaches as a measuring stick is pretty pathetic. They all grossly under achieved.
Third, the one weakness we have had under Dabo has been the OL. If you look at the games we have lost during the regular season over the last six years every case has been because we couldn’t get a touchdown or a first down in short yardage situation. The fact that we have that jumbo alignment proves we don’t have a dominant OL. And even that package hasn’t been very effective lately. We need to pitch the ball outside or throw it more often in that alignment. Mix it up so people don’t know what to expect.
Fourth, the last couple of years we have started getting some four and five star recruits. If the OL does not significantly improve over the next three seasons it won’t be because of talent. It will be clear that the issue has been with coaching all along.

Weakness is relative. Our line was weak compared to playoff level D-lines, but still one of the best compared to the other ACC teams.
Player for player I don’t think any 1995-2013 Clemson team was better.

offense. More creative play calling due to more options will take pressure off of the line. Our scheme is NOT easy for the line.
They will seem way better!

Marcus Tate, Parks are both exceptional talents that both will play in the NFL! Most talented OL we’ve ever had, they just need to develop over the season. Our depth is good too.
Our biggest weakness is still pretty good-> cornerback

Maybe better under Dahl, not under Danny Ford. Way better o line then
