Why is our halftime show about Alabama/Cincy?

Another way that espn has made everything in college football about the playoff is making every other bowl game feel like just warm up for the playoff games.

Of course in recent years we have been in these games so it has been good for Clemson. But it's easier to see now

They showed all the outstanding plays at the beginning of the half. How else should they spend the next 99% of their time.
