Bear with me. Need to rant for a moment.

Nov 17, 2013, 11:31 AM

The amount of posts on here on a weekly basis concerning "where we draw the line with Dabo" is alarming. I know lots of them are from coots, but there are legit Tiger fans bringing this up as well.

People seem to forget that for the better part of a decade Clemson football was largely irrelevant on a national scale. We were winning 7 games a year and were lucky to break into the polls a couple times a year at something in the 20s most of the time. We were dropping games yearly to Wake Forest, Duke, Virginia, etc. The idea of being consistently ranked in the top-10 and beating top-10 teams regularly seemed too distant to even dream about.

In just a few seasons Dabo has changed all of that. He's got us consistently ranked now. Not just somewhere in the polls. IN THE TOP-TEN. He's got us recruiting at the highest level I can remember. He's got us demolishing unranked opponents and regularly beating top-10 opponents. He's hired phenomenal coaches and created a winning culture founded on class, integrity, tradition, and belief.

We are about to enjoy our third 10-win season in a row. We have a great chance to get into a BCS bowl. We have a great chance to start and finish an entire season in the top-10. I could go on and on and on about all of this. He has a 49-22 record overall. He's 33-12 in the conference. There are literally scores of programs around the country that wish they had a coach like Dabo as well as the level of Clemson's success under his leadership.

It just amazes me how quickly people seem to dismiss what he and this program have accomplished in such a short time. I was sitting in the stands in Winston Salem for Bowden's last game. What we have now is light years from where we were back then.

So, enough of this "where do we draw the line with Dabo" nonsense. We are #### lucky to have him as our head coach, and I wouldn't trade him for anyone else.

ALL IN. ALL THE TIME.

"Because at the end of the game, everyone knew that they weren’t that much better than us or better than us at all."
