BC gameday questions coming from Charlotte

Oct 9, 2013, 9:27 PM

I'm driving down from Charlotte for the game on Saturday.

About how much time should I factor in for the drive plus traffic (etc) coming into Clemson and leaving? Also any parking tips? Is a parking pass essential or is there general parking you've had luck with? Thanks guys.

For the BC game you should be fine with

2 hours to get there. There'll be plenty of general parking and signs attendants to direct you where to go. Enjoy the game! GO TIGERS!!!

An hour away we will be leaving about 9 Sat morning, there is plenty of free parking around camping, I usually park at the greenhouses right near the handicap parking lot, not too bad of walk, your welcome to email me about how to get to the greenhouses if you dont know, derekjohnson1226@gmail.com, game is 3:30 so that'll put the tiger walk being around 1:10-1:20, fun experience if you haven't been to it!

Depends on when you intend to leave.....I live in South Charlotte..takes me about 2 1/4 hours from here to get into Clemson (counting the drive down Clemson Blvd)...but that's not on game day. If you leave early to hit campus by 10am to tailgate, that time will about suffice...if you don't intend to get there until about an hour or so prior to kickoff, I'd give yourself about 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 hours.

There's a free public gameday parking lot off of Perimeter

Road past the Horticultural Garden that should suffice. If you're heading in on 76 from the Anderson I-85 Exit 19, you'll see signs to the left as you approach the water tower near campus. It's about a 20 minute walk from the lot to the stadium but considering how beautiful the campus is its worth every moment.

The bigger of the two lots on the right seldom fills for a BC-type game. You can't help but pass by the Hendrix Student Center on the walk which means fresh milk shakes on the way. Enjoy.

Allow yourself 30 minutes extra than the Garmen says for game day traffic. Take 153 Easley exit and 123 to Clemson. Park downtown for free or use the garage. Enjoy the downtown and walk to the Esso Club or to the stadium. Have a great trip and GO Tigers!!!

I did not read other posts, but, your trip will be approximately 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Take the Clemson exit off of I-85 and drive to Perimeter Rd. and turn left. Follow Perimeter Rd. to Cherry St. and take a right, there is a public parking area on the right pretty quick after taking this right. The walk to uptown or the stadium is not unbearable, and the sightseeing is unbeatable. Enjoy!!!!!
