Basketball vs Football

I see a lot of comparisons of the basketball program to the football program.
How would the Clemson football program do if the other ACC football programs had the kind of recruiting success their basketball programs have and Clemson football had similar recruiting levels as our basketball program? Even if Clemson's recruiting stayed at the same level, Dabo would lose more games.
Despite having Trevor Lawrence at QB and a lot of talent on offense and defense, Clemson has been blown out by Alabama, LSU and Ohio State in the playoffs.

Because only the good Judge can recognize the ACC basketball schedule is tougher than the ACC football schedule, and Clemson has less talented rosters in basketball.

My point wasn't that Clemson has never won big games. You didn't respond to my point.
You guys say recruiting matters in football but you don't seem to think it should matter in basketball if the team sports a Clemson logo on their uniforms.
If your goal is to beat basketball programs like Duke consistently, you have to recruit at their level. A coach that can recruit at Duke's level is probably not going to stay at Clemson unless he attended the college.
