Sure, Trump had a plan. That plan was straight arson. Set fire to everything, then run around screaming that the house is on fire (even though he set it himself) and that it's all effed and America is really lucky to have a guy like him on hand to set things right.

And folks just like you ate it up. Me, I was a bouncer. I spotted fools causing trouble like that for a living and walked them right out of the bar.

Biden may have a bad plan - and I personally think it is - but at least it's a coherent plan, whether you agree with it or not. The real question is, is he competent enough (and does he have enough control of his Congressmen) to execute the durn thing? That's kind of TBD.

If he doesn't get a deal, Biden's a lame-duck president and we're all pretty much just waiting for Trump Part Deux. If he does get one and puts points on the board I think America goes with him because at least he's getting something done, for good or for ill. Trump...never. Chaos was his one move.

Reagan had plans. Both Bushes had plans. But now the ginned-up MAGA mob claims they were RINOS and "Deep Staters". One idiot here who shall remain nameless said they were "milk toast", not real Republicans. I sort of took some deep breaths at the breadth of that stupid and just carried on.

$%^& MAGA. Seriously. The current state of the GOP absolutely disgusts me, as does the #%$^ the MAGA mob runs around saying. It's like watching Lord of the Flies. (And yeah, I'm aware Antifa is much the same...but there's 100 MAGA's for every Antifa out there right now. Probably a thousand. And Antifa's pretty much in Portland. MAGA and its malevolent stupid is freaking in your face everywhere right now.)

Simple. Get the $%$^ out of the way of the free market, crush croney capitalism wherever it appears - corrupt croney capitalism was entirely Trump's bag, he's an oligarch - and let smart people and the free market save the world.

Nothing wrong with, say, Amazon, but it's getting to be too big, and it's trying to control multiple links in the supply and distribution chain, and be a manufacturer as well as a distributor, which is what all companies that get too big do - and it needs to be broken up. Preferably into at least three pieces.

From an infrastructure standpoint, everything in America ultimately starts with power. Everything. The clearest solution there is thorium nuclear. It's far cleaner and safer than normal uranium plants; I'd throw them up everywhere...starting in West Virginia; they have the rivers and water to operate them and if we're going to kill coal - and we have to - we need to give that state an actual replacement. Let them power Cincinnati, Columbus, Louisville, Washington DC. Perovstike solar and solid-state (and glass) batteries are coming but that kind of "green" renewable energy is not enough.

Social issues? Right now we have Babbel. Everybody's getting different information. We need to kill the social-media algorithms that are turning our population into divided camps in freaking Doomsday cults - this board is littered with them and they don't even realize they're freaking insane - and re-instate the "equal-time" laws in media and kill these freaking infotainers who are pandering to the masses, giving them the news - and even the facts - that they want to hear. Opinion hosts like Tucker and Hannity on one side and Maddow and Lemon on the other need to be clearly labelled as "opinion hosts" - what they're doing isn't journalism - and the bias rating and factuality level of their shows need to be clearly labelled on a corner of the screen for the entire duration of their broadcast so there is no mistaking what people are looking at.

We also need ranked-choice voting so we, the voters, are in control, the political parties are not, and we get more than two absolutely lousy choices on the menu and we're talking about the issues again instead of just throwing lame, stupid, moronic (any clue how I feel) invective at each other? Freaking Miura jizzing all over the P&R board right now is the state of our politics.

Why are we continuing to let Republicans and Democrats tell us they're the only two freaking options? I reject them both, they're lousy. WHY THE $^$^ doesn't everyone else? This sh!t is stupid. And we're allowing it.

Also, I'm a Libertarian. A real one. Less is more and as a finance guy you know as well as anybody what truly mucks up a company is too much management. So it goes with Big Gubmint. If I had my way, I'd prune the crap out of a gazillion Federal agencies, kill the states altogether, abolish state-level government, and throw all the power to the counties. Either that or I'd fold the Senate into the House - the fact that Rhode Island gets as many reps as freaking California is retarded - and it's why crap states like Kentucky and West Virginia are running the Senate (into the ground) right now. That isn't sustainable. But communities should have a lot more say in how their community is run, not the Feds, not the states. And communities should be allowed to abolish, say, guns, if they don't want guns in their community, or ban abortion in their county if the majority of folks in that community don't want abortion. Some folks want gun-free leftist anything-goes communities, others want conservative Christian communities, and guess what: those communities should be allowed to decide. If we're gonna get through this as a nation, it's by letting people live how they want, by getting out of one anothers' faces...and that includes letting conservatives be conservative if they wanna and by allowing liberals to be liberal if they wanna and guess what, you'll see successful examples of both if it's permitted...and we're willing to live and let live.

Oh, and I'd abolish income tax. All of it. Erase the IRS. And change over to flat sales tax. Right now poor people don't pay any taxes and rich people don't pay any taxes; the tax burden is entirely on the ever-shrinking middle working class and that has to stop. Trying to "tax the rich" is stupid, hiding wealth is what rich people do and looking for it is pointless and counterproductive. They'll always game the system; they are the system.

I'd privatize the cops, too. Cops should be like any other service provider, and communities should be allowed to fire them if they aren't serving that community. Replace them with the Pinkertons, and if the Pinkertons aren't getting it done replace them with Safeguard. Ungunk those union-gunked power structures that keep bad cops like Derrick Chauvin in place, that have completely poisoned the police's relationship with their communities. We can't get rid of bad cops. That's unsustainable in the long run because if people don't trust them, they can't police.

That's my plan.
