the team was an error machine much of the year and pitching looks like the piitsburgh pirates staff.


i still love my tigers but this hurts.

You really think no team is fundamentally sound? Now I know you know that’s true. It’s hilarious how far you go to try and make Monte look perfect.

I do agree the game is played differently now, and I don’t like it either. I was talking to an old teammate the other day about all the strikeouts Clemson had, and we both agreed we wouldn’t be able to hold our heads up in the dugout if we struck out that much. We would be embarrassed beyond embarrassed. But it’s no biggie anymore. Regardless, the good teams do have fundamentals and a high baseball iq, something a Monte Lee team has lacked since he arrived.

Really hard to win any sport if you don’t have a grasp on the fundamentals of the game……it is very obvious Monte is lacking when it comes to teaching the basic fundamentals of baseball…..horrible at bunting, running the bases, fielding ground balls, hit and run skills just to name a few……Go Tigers!!!!!

Bunting really isn't a fundamental of baseball anymore. Analytics have completely evolved our understanding of how baseball should be played, and basically one of the core discoveries is that giving away a free out is almost always bad.
