Baseball recruiting- I know a kid that has been recruited by Clemson.

He is a really good role player: really good OF, 1b and a #### good pitcher (throwing 90+), particularly in relief. He’s also a really good left handed batter. We were sort of perplexed that he was never offered, given that he was on their radar and is a really good player/kid. Also a huge Clemson fan. In-state kid.

Monte told him that he hadn’t progressed like he would like so they dropped him. Well, since then he made the all-state team, as a junior, but that’s not good enough. Ghosted by Clemson.

Just thought I’d throw that out there, since Monte is gone. The kid will be going elsewhere which is a huge disappointment to me personally.

What makes you think I’m not “over it”?

I’m just saying that our baseball recruiting has been questionable and provided an example.

Hopefully we will do better going forward with a new staff…
