Respect to J. Allen... he said Deshaun Watson was the best football player he has played against in his entire college career. He said from a mental aspect, he played the same in the 4th quarter under pressure as he did in the 1st.

It was obvious in the first half that they were trying to take him out, because they couldn't win straight up. It rattled Deshaun a little too in the beginning, but he showed why he's the GOAT.

Why does everyone say Watson was rattled? I don't think he was at all...that Bama D was playing pretty well, and Watson got hit alot....I didn't see at all where he got rattled. Looked to me like he got right up and went to the next play.

Absolutely. Having to run for your life, or fire off a quick ball now and then isn't rattled, it's self preservation quite frankly. And even after throwing a ball, he still got hit late. But he never quit. That is all that matters.

I wouldn't know for sure just looked that way and he missed Deon for a walk in TD. Btw, I wasn't criticizing...I wouldn't have gotten up from those hits. He's the GOAT!

I don't think it's malicious. Every DL in the nation has a little bit of "wow I wanna flatten that dude". They have to. That's what makes them good players. Makes them hungry to fight more to get to the QB so they can lay the wood.
