I noticed that too..... makes me think THEY haven't watched much of Bama

As much as I love to imagine a beatdown, this is Bama.

I think we are a bit unrealistic to go that far. We haven't really come down from our Fiesta Bowl "high."

I will be ELATED with a win. A decisive win would be icing on the cake. A blowout? I just don't see it.

I am hopeful that our team is confident, but also HIGHLY RESPECTFUL of what ANY mistakes could do to us. I am praying for no injuries to these players...and that Clemson plays smart, intense, "lights out" ball.

It really will begin in the trenches, but we have to be tough and SHARP. No letdowns. And we need to come out hitting on all cylinders.

Bama needs to be humbled and so does saban. Their day is coming. I believe in Clemson and that we are the team that can do it. But I now pull for Clemson and anybody that plays bama and the coots.

No wonder saban and kiffin could not get along. It's hard when you have to people interacting together that think they know everything.

Ask Miami fans how good of coach he is and his honesty and integrity. He bailed on Miami during the night that's no different than kiffin bolting from Tenn.

Both are overrated know it all jerks.

Did you ever think they were any more intelligent than that?

They are thinking about the 35 that they dropped on AU and ignoring the 19 that AU's lame offense dropped on them. There's been a lot of water under the bridge between AU's first game and their match with Bama.

Auburn kicked four field goals. That equals 12! We also are thinking about that Troy game, Pittsburgh game, The Louisville game, the NC State game and more recently the VT game. Troy is our other little brother in the State. I do realize that was at the beginning of the year, but wow!

All of this means nothing! Last years game means nothing! New players, new time and new motivation. Good luck!

Not much different from most of the Clemson fans on this board saying that Clemson is going to shut down Bama... Face it, this is going to be a really great game regardless of which team wins...

Hey I have orange colored glasses to. But Alabama is #1 for a reason. They are the most balanced, talented team we've faced. Anyone thinking this is going to be a blowout like OSU is in for a big surprise.

I think we have a real shot to win, better than we had last year. It's going to be close either way. Of course, I have a gut feeling we'll take them.

We're also the most balanced and talented team they have faced.

And who give's a #### what Bama's or any other teams fans think?

This is all just hot wind blowing. I guess we should all just say.....Hey, Clemson will lose, why even go, Alabama is the BEST team in America, let's just forfeit.

Idiots.

That is the exact mind-set that Clemson fans have. No one knows which team's fans are right until the final second ticks off the game clock...

I know we all tend to do it (some more than others) but it doesn't make it any less hypocritical when you can't nudge your own team by the same standards :)

Who knows who will win?

Posted: Jan 5, 2017, 4:05 PM

I am surprised anyone is that confident. I think Bama's D is slightly better and their OL is better. I think we are better at QB, WR, and TE. Special teams? We shall see. I think we win by a fg to a td if we win due to Watson.

True, there is a reason we play the game. But there O line may be better than ours but it's not going against our O line. Our D line will have some success.

Our Oline will be challenged but the TRUE dual threat of DW4 will aid them. Bama doesn't have that same luxury. Hurts will prove to be a liability. I'm not saying he will look as bad as JT did but he isn't THAT much better..... he just has a better Oline.

I have to give Bama the edge in ST.

I just think our O is as good or better than their D and that our D is MUCH better than their O.

ST could be the difference maker. If we are even in ST I think we win going away. If they are only slightly better then we win a close one.....

If they are significantly better in ST......ugh.

They drink the SEC cool aide by the gallon and now believe the hype. AL is by far the BEST team in the SEC, however their nearest competitor has 4 losses. Beating the crap out of a bunch of middle the road SEC teams doesn't ready you to face the top team in the nation. On the other hand , Clemson is battle tested and ready to take on the fight.

Have to be careful with those arguments. Other than ohio state the next best team Clemson faced had multiple losses.... FSU beating Michigan helps but then again ohio st beat them too.

I agree with you fundamentally but don't think that's the best way to frame the argument.
