IT nerds - Outlook on iPhone

On desktop, I move Outlook items IMAP folders to clean things up because I only keep action items in my inbox. I open iPhone and carry on about my business.

Somehow, things are syncing back to where when I open Outlook in desktop, the files are in the same spot they were before I moved them?

Is this a bug or a feature?

Additional details is that this only happens for Gmail

accounts that are mapped to Outlook. So might be an issue with that data connection and 2-way sync

like a setting issue because that can be finicky.

but a couple of clients have G-suite. I'm just trying to have the same apps connected to the same things on all devices and I think that's a pipe dream. Might have to just use Mail app on iPhone to get things working like I want to, even if it means losing some Outlook calendar features.

It's a decent divide for me, Outlook app houses work e-mail

outlook to keep my personal email (gmail) separate from Outlook, in fact I think my company required it so they could control stuff - but not an IT guy so not sure about that.
