Awesome job by the Clemson secondary so far this year.

After the national championship game, we lost 3 of our starting dbs. The secondary was feared to be the worst part of the defense this year, yet the new starters have stepped up big time! Less busts in coverage so far than last year. The secondary needs more love!

Seems like we got some coverage sacks. If not the receivers were so well covered that it made lj run at times or get hurried by rushers. They looked great. Johnson has made two? I think? Very athletic interceptions now. Fun to watch.

Secondary and special teams were supposed to be our weaknesses. Appears both have been fixed.

lot of people did not like that take at DB (me being one of them), but man he is a worker. What he lacks in Size and Speed he makes up for with toughness and grit. Glad he is a part of our team. He has had a pretty good season.

Not quite. Gallman and David Kamara were supposedly only offered to get Nkemdiche. Before Nkemdiche jumped ship he publicly stated that his commitment would really be solid if Clemson offered Carter as well. Clemson did not bite. Schussler had been at Miss State for a year, and decided to transfer to Clemson without a scholarship offer. He was allowed to walk on. Nkemdiche had lived with Schussler for a time in high school and I really thought Schussler would be the glue that held him at Clemson. Not to be. Nkemdiche changed his commitment to Ole Miss, and Kamara rode his coattails over to Ole Miss as well. Gallman did not.
Meanwhile, as I understand it, Clemson stayed in touch with Ryan Carter, and just before signing day he was offered based on his own merits and Clemson's needs (presumable somebody we were more interested in decided to go elsewhere.) Ryan signed with Clemson on NSD.
David Kamara by the way? Washed out at Ole Miss and is now teammates at Tenn State with Ebenezer Ogundeko.

Green & Kearse got too cocky last year and busted a ton of assignments.
The guys we have now are possibly less talented, but they are making up for it and then some with their work effort and determination.
Does anyone really think Kearse would've made that tackle on the UL WR at the end of the game? I don't.
