Last 2 mins of both games should be on a training tape of not what to do playing football. They both suck....

Since question- Could UNC's players have called for a fair catch on the onside KO
and had a better chance to cover the ball?

You can't call for a fair catch on a ball that is not in the air.

onside kick that everyone knew was coming - all in 26 seconds has to be one of the biggest chokes in college football history...

As far as Auburn - you could see it coming as Bama started to wear their defense down in the 4th quarter. I told the wife after Auburn scored their TD in the first OT period that they should go for 2 (i.e. go for the win) instead of a tie to continue to a second OT. I didn't think there was any way Auburn was going to win by continuing to swap overtime possessions with Bama - turns out I was right. After 2 weeks of watching Auburn - I'm not impressed with their head coaches in-game decisions...

Agree. UNC was a comedy of errors end of game.***

Agree on the two point conversion. I felt that when it got to the 2pt OT Alabama would win it. Their short passing game is just very difficult to stop. You know the slant is coming but can’t stop it. They can do so much out of that bunch set it’s crazy.

UNC and it’s not close…

Auburn didn’t really choke away that game. Had Tank got that first down or just fell game over. Unfortunately kid was trying for first down and Bama player momentum took him out of bounds saving Saban :40.

Even then Alabama had to earn it and they did. Young threw a beautiful pass to tie game that was well covered.

UNC on the other had. Pooped down their leg. Blown coverage and pee wee football onside kick coverage. 2 scores in :26 is hard to do in football.
