Uncanny that we thought of the same thing (sometime last week, I thought Clemson Hall would be good).
If they're going to do it...why not make it right & keep with the historic theme & founder...?
I like T.G. part, kinda like short for Tig's...works great with Clemson hall or TG's hall.
But let's hurry up & either do something about it & change the name, or make a statement about it & don't....just for God's sake DO SOMETHING & address this stupid issue so that it goes away & we don't have to hear about this crap anymore.
Someone give the spoiled child it's way so it stops crying for attention.
CLEMSON HALL seems about the best solution to me.

primarily motivated to do this because of some dbag frat having a idiotic "cripmas party". The ironic part about that party, a number of those knucklehead fratboys were wearing 2Pac shirts, 2Pac was never a member of either the crips or bloods. Which really shows how stupid these fratboys are, their too d@mn ignorant to get a shirt of actual crip members. Which to find out famous crips would just take a quick search on google. So these frat boys are so moronic, they don't even know who crips really are. These group of young people have never complained before. There was a racially insensitive party not that along ago that was coordinated by a frat, also. These young people have a point, Clemson needs to punish groups of students who have racist themed parties and post the pics all over Facebook and Twitter. It makes Clemson look bad, and those idiot frats don't represent the University as a whole.
And in 2015, there is absolutely no reason to have the most iconic building on your campus named after a person who led lynch mobs, participated in the assassination of a state senator, killed people, and was the most reprehensible and pathetic of Jim Crow era politicians.

of the situation, and I agree in principal. Every Clemson family member, both black and white, knows that it was not named Tillman Hall as some sort of a tribute to the racist atrocities the man committed. We ALL can agree on that. Sadly, the reality is if the name is not changed, this controversy will never go away. I want what's best for our university in the long run, and like it or not, getting Ben Tillman's name, given what people know of his actions, off of our most recognized landmark is the best thing for Clemson University in the long term.

That's crap the horseshoe in front of Tillman is named after him. He did nothing ie donating land, fighting legislature etc to help Clemson come into existence. Leave the name alone
