basketball game in a few years in fact, and three things stand out:
Clemson basketball is the real deal.
The Well is a great temporary home for Clemson basketball.
The rally cats are still smoking.

I was at the Miami game and I would guess about 15000 attendance. It was deathly quiet for 37 minutes of the game.

That arena is cavernous. Look at how far back the stands are from the benches, and especially on the ends. You can definitely tell it was built for hockey.

It's been like that for most of the games, sans Duke. To be fair though, seemingly every home ACC game has had a huge Clemson run with 5 minutes or so to play, which brings the place to Death Valley-esque decibel levels.

The arena is so dark you can't tell if fans are there.

on TV. I hope NuLittlejohn is not dark like that. Can't stand that dark look on TV. Really takes away from atmosphere.

I almost feel like I owe some kind of an apology for having such a great time. On the other hand, we're winning, and while The Well will never be mentioned in the same breath with Allen Fieldhouse, Cameron Indoor, or The Breslin Center, it's been good to us and I'm gonna enjoy it.

I went to the game, and the crowd was definitely quiet 95% of the game. I went to the viewing of natty and it was rocking from the start. Just saying fans are just not that into basketball.

Was it packed with rabid fans who stood the entire game and went absolutely insane from start to finish? Was it like Littlejohn during the Rick Barnes or Bill Foster days? #### no, and I wouldn't expect that in a million years, and anybody who does expect that kind of rowdy, intense atmosphere needs their head examined. However, it was by no means "quiet", and I thought the crowd was very involved; there were people all around me yelling and screaming at the refs all game long. Naturally I expect it to be louder and rowdier in the new arena next year, but given the circumstances this year, I was surprised at how good the atmosphere was. I didn't hear a single person there critiquing it either; instead I saw a bunch of people making noise and having a great time like me.
