Ask Tenn about bad karma after firing Fulmer

Sep 26, 2016, 6:36 PM

Still not back to where they were. And there's not exactly a much better coach than Miles available right now. Will be interesting.
I get LSU fan's frustration but I don't see this going well.

I think most Tennessee fans are pretty happy right now

It was time for Les to go, he lost a lot of games with poor clock management. There's no excuse for that.

"IDIOT POSTER OF THE MONTH SO FAR...GWP-- You have won IPM Award for your failure to completely comprehend a clear post & then choose to attack someone who points out your ignorance. While you are not yet in the same No Class Catagory as deRoberts, ClemTiger117 & Tigerdug23, you are getting closer to the Sewer Dwellers." - coachmac

I think the clue that Les needed to go was when he hired Kevin Steele as DC a couple of years ago. Now Gus is facing the same problem and he will go soon.

Lesson to be learned: Do NOT hire Kevin Steele as your DC unless you want to change jobs.

Defense has not been Auburn's problem, just saying!***

you are kidding yourself if you think LSU will

suffer like Tenn did after running off Fulmer.

Unlike Tenn, the state of Louisiana produces a lot of talent and it's close to the fertile Texas high schools. Tenn has always had to recruit on a bigger regional level. Fulmer did a good job of coming into our state and plucking out talent. Tenn started suffering when Swinney and Spurrier turned off the pipeline from SC to TN.

LSU will attract a top level coach that will walk into a gold mine. No comparison to running off Fulmer.

Yep. LSU has one of the best recruiting situations in all of

CFB. Aside from the big 3 (FL, CA, TX), Louisiana is one of the most talent rich states in the country and LSU, being the lone P5 school in the state, nearly has a complete monopoly on that talent. They also have easy access to eastern Texas.

Must be why Syracuse, Rutgers and BC are so good?

Pretty sure NY, NJ, and Mass aren't producing LA levels of

talent. Theyve also never established any kind of recruiting dominance in their own state like LSU has. Michigan, OSU, PSU, etc raid those states.

Agree on recruiting but even in a good year would be hard to find a strong power 5

Sep 26, 2016, 7:56 PM [ in reply to you are kidding yourself if you think LSU will ]

Coach without ties to the school coming in after you fire one of their win ingest coaches of all time. I get that Miles should have been able to achieve more with his talent but I just don't see any big time head coach going there and the cupboard is thin.

LSU went UGA on Miles...how's that Smart fella doing

Sep 26, 2016, 7:36 PM

how about the Richt fella?
