As smarmy as this is to say,

Dec 4, 2022, 9:32 AM

Francis Marion is right: Big win, bright future.

And so is Judge Keller: Something's rattling under the hood and it's irksome.

None of us will ever know why the real QB1 didnt start for so long, why he apparently never even practiced with the 1s and why an obvious QB2 was so nurtured and promoted over him.

Dabo, Ive been told by some in a position to know, has his favorites and in this case he lost a whole stack of chips betting on his guy and he knows it.

Most of us have done the same thing at one point or another in our careers. So we know how painful and humbling it can be.

But Dabo was spinning the narrative then and will continue spinning it now. And there's nuthin' anyone can do about it but decide what to think about Dabo moving forward.

I think he's a good dude who maybe got home this morning, hugged his wife and said "Maybe I missed on this one."

And that'll be all that's said. And he'll go back to work and bristle at the media over it a little and be keep being Dabo.

And we'll all go back to work and muse on TNet about it and dole out TU/TDs.
And that's about it. Wont change the prices at the pump or the fact that Clemson's again on the outside of the CFP looking in.

Next man up and just win, baby.

If it were truly “Next man up and win baby” I think we could look past it. Some of us are doubting that theory

Cant argue with that.

Like I said, people in a position to know have told me Dabo locks in on folks and is hard to get off high center. Loyal to a fault, even.

And that's kinda what makes him him. And it's equally true that our greatest strengths can be massive blind spots.

I think it's cost the program this time. But as the Dabophiles will surely point out, he's got plenty of bona fides and who are we to doubt?

^ pretty much. Past is gone.

Hate most people saw it, those closest didn’t. We don’t have a “time machines” On to the next.

Just treat everything you hear with one raised eyebrow ?

Or maybe he knows more about coaching than any arm chair coaches in this board.

Very insightful.
