Who would've thought

Oct 29, 2015, 4:20 PM

My last year at Clemson (98), we lost to Va Tech 37-0, lost to Fla State 48-0, and got beat by a bad Duke team. The team chemistry wasn't good and coachimg was abysmal. My thought was that the good ole days were gone.
Slowly and steadily, coaching got better, recruiting got better and facilities got better. Clemson seemed stuck in a rut though...9 wins - can't win the big game... Lose to Wake, beat Tennessee.
Then Dabo comes in and starts building a machine. I love the parts that are coming into place for this team!
I am looking forward to great years from Clemson!

As I've said on here multiple times . . .

the guys who like to bash CTB don't remember where we were before he got here. It was rough, but he did put the pieces in place to get us where we are now. For that we should always be grateful to CTB.

Very, Very Excited. Very, Very Proud.

I'm still confused as to how we got to the Peach Bowl in '97

then turned tire fire in 1998. I was a bad student in 1998, only made it to 4 games or so. The team was bad, I was lazy about getting the tickets, and still pretty jaded from my senior year of high school football being a total waste of time.

Exactly. He brought instant recognition and excitement that we didn't have before his arrival. He left us in better shape than he found us. He was good for Clemson when we needed it most. With that said, I'm very glad Dabo is our HC.

No CTB, no Dabo. Anyway, he started the train moving down the line - WEZ, better recruiting and better brand.
