I am not sure there is a definitive answer. I am thinking with the oculus being a nice focal point, crowning touch to our stadium wasn't exactly enough to get it built. However, when they added the connector bridge to the north and south stands that made it more practical. I can imagine seeing an ESPN intro focusing on the uniqueness of our oculus. Just my thoughts.

We apparently have a ton of money to spend and foolish things like comfortable seating and affordable concessions are not very important. I know I would much rather have an oculus and have a 390 pound 'lady' sit on my leg while I enjoy a 5 dollar bottle of water at a noon game! Who wouldn't?????

I envision some sort of viewing concourse/party deck like they had in Jacksonville over the top of a new Ford tunnel/arch that the players enter through to spill down the hill.

That's a rhetorical question. Once The Oculus is complete, you will feel it's power for yourself. Once the PAW-signal lights up the night, it lets the world know Death Valley is ready to enact revenge upon anyone who opposes. I'm other words, it's a fair warning to any fool thinking of coming into our house.

The oculus will also take the place of all cell phones while your in the valley. If you want to call or txt somebody the oculus will read your mind and do the communicating for you. By next year it will send emails for you. Just a few of the many powers of the oculus.
