in history.

Bama has had 11 in 3 years... The talent combined with coaching at that school is unbelievable right now.

Honestly ...

I couldnt name one player from Alabama's last three years draft classes other than Julio Jones that has had any real impact on the pro game.

Ingram, Upshaw, Arenas, Barron, Richardson, McClain, Dareus.

Apr 28, 2013, 11:02 PM

Oh, and Kirkatrick. All impact players and I'm sure thee are others. Those are the ones I could think of.

Ingram hasn't done anything yet, he has been injured….

Apr 28, 2013, 11:12 PM

most of the time, and when he has played he hasn't been impressive. I think Richardson will be good (always thought he was much better than Ingram), but his first season wasn't an "impact player" season. Yes he was on a bad team, but averaging 3.6 yards a carry isn't what an "impact" running back averages.

Yes, Bama has a lot of talent and are well coached, but all of those Bama players aren't going to have quality NFL careers. I say about half of the players for Bama that was drafted this year will have quality careers. That's still great for that number of players to have quality careers coming from the same school. But some of Bama's players look better just because of the other great players on Bama.

Apr 28, 2013, 11:48 PM

Don't ask ignorant questions....

It only makes you look stupid.

Yes, to paraphrase what he said...

Apr 29, 2013, 8:57 AM [ in reply to are you saying all the clemson 1st round picks ]

All 85 players on Clemson's team is of the highest caliber and everyone that is drafted will go down in the HoF.

I think that's pretty close... 0_0

Right...all were good high draft picks but none to date have done anything of significance. Part of it may be their youth and part may be that they just havent gotten acclimated. Thanks for the list though...i am gonna write that down (lol).

LOL at these responses. 3 or 4 just got drafted and haven't

Apr 29, 2013, 9:01 AM

played a snap in the NFL. Another 3 or 4 were rookies last year. That only leaves 3 or 4 who have even had 2 full years in the NFL.

Geez...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

ok..ok..

Ryan Leaf -1st round draft pick .
Tom Brady - 6th round draft pick.

The numbers lie , the experts are fallable and all of this is pure folly until a player has a body of work to compare and contrast to others. Football beez funny like dat.
