I don't care about Russia or Ukraine, but this is going to raise hostilities with Russia and surely drag us into another war of some sort. Maybe it stays limited to Ukraine, maybe it goes nuclear. Who knows.
Either way it is more BS warmongering by the MIC so big corps and politicians can get rich. So keep on cheering for that.

centered around the eastern regions which are basically Russian and want nothing to do with Kiev. Ever since the CIA-backed coup in 2014 where a western puppet government was installed there has been a civil war going on in that region. That's what is going on, not an "unprovoked invasion". As to who is right or wrong, I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure Ukraine isn't right, given the way the corrupt politicians are acting. (Any time you're on the same side as Lindsey Graham, you're wrong.)

Heck, when Putin announced the "Special military whatever" in Feb, he eve said the goal was demilitarization of Ukraine.
If the goal of Russia was to take back (or "free") the eastern Russian speaking areas, why did they invade from the North/Belarus towards Kyiv?
In 2014 Russia invaded and took over Crimea.
What happened before Feb 22 that caused Russia to "have" to take this action? And what is the justification for the brutality shown by the Russian military.
I think it should be clear to any reasonable person who the aggressor is here.

in terms of Russia invading Ukraine and annexing Crimea, my answer would be...so? You think a referendum where a certain percentage of the people express an opinion to join back with Russia is justification for an invasion?
And also, you didn't address the points about the 2022 invasion including troops from the North heading toward Kyiv. How is that a focus on Eastern Ukraine?

Triggered? not sure. Fact is, there is little I am sure of w this war.
Why is NATO expanding still further into Europe? Why is NATO expanding its role to include economic concerns? Why is the US terribly worried about a nation (Russia) whose economy ours is 17 times larger?
Why is Ukraine considered so corrupt? If so corrupt, how does this impact us?
Just why did Russia invade? I do not believe this stuff about Putin wanting to reassemble the former USSR...at least not as the reason. I dont believe it has anything to do w his legacy (don't care what side if the fence you're on, this didn't help him). While I am not convinced his reason for invading was to put NATO nations under a strain that would begin to cause dissention with the ultimate result being a weaker or broken alliance, I can see this happening.
Is sending our tanks over there a good idea? I don't think so. we are trying too hard to escalate our involvement. .. we are too involved...we have little interest there, our supply lines would be stretched...we can't pit troops on ground but we are basically at war w Russia and containment of the war to Ukraine should be a prime objective...this added support (likely already there) seems as if we are begging Putin to do something rash in order to justify unrestricted involvement.
at the same time, it's hard not to want to help a nation fighting for its freedom.
I'm agin it, I'm pulling for Ukraine but this thing is hardly as simple as Putin is a bad guy
