That's probably best case for us really. Unlikely he will block our path to the playoffs at any point now.

manning is going to start his cf career with a whole lot of pressure on him.expectations will be coming from many directions-coaches,players,fans,media which will put him under a microscope immediately, not to mention family.he's got some big shoes to fill there.could also be a distraction to the tx program.don't envy him.hope he can handle it.

When all the Arch Manning talk started years ago, I had a gut feeling he wouldn't be coming to Clemson. When it comes down to it, it's all hype until it's proven on the field. Even if he were coming to Clemson, I wouldn't get hopes up too high.

Thought it would be Texas or Bama. Me, I would have chosen Bama if not Clemson.

I've been disappointed so many Clemson outlets continued to give updates on him after he eliminated Clemson.

He was always going to Texas with the $$. His tour of colleges was mostly about upping the price.
If not a "manning" his stock would have been less.

Of all recruits, I’m pretty confident the NLE cash was not a top reason for his decision. Exposure, program prestige, and improvement of personal brand for future earnings, all are legitimate benefits.
I’m just glad he didn’t go to UGA.

AM is not from a super rich family. His family is certainly above $ as to average, but his Pop is Cooper Manning. By signing with Texas, he will soon have more $$ than his Pop. Hi8s value is largely due to his famous relatives. He appears to be a very good high school QB and has been trained beyond what most could hope for. There is no reason he will not be good in college. To say he (or anyone) will become a Peyton or Eli is kinda funny.

That is a good point , but he could have gotten that at many colleges. The deal is Texas provides him with the chance to earn more $$ in college. He would be brain dead not to go there.

Me either! Glad to hear it. Texas can have him and all the excess baggage that comes along with him. I'll take Vizzina and Klubnik any day of the week over that kid. Too much drama with that whole Manning Religious Cult. I'll take our kids and go to war!

I'm guessing the high price NIL QB transfer from Ohio State is disappointed.
