I think he's done a pretty good job coaching the cornerbacks BUT

How do you have TWO WEEKS to look at what they were doing on punt blocks and not make changes to tighten the coverage and do something to prepare for it?

I forgot a lot of you don't keep up.

ND has blocked more punts this year than we have in 10 years combined.

Don't we get mad when coaches stop doing something that's been successful? If the scheme had been successful up until Saturday. Why would you want to change it beforehand?

If you actually watch the play, Ruke totally wiffed on the block required to stop the guy who actually blocked the punt. So to answer your question, no scheme works if players don't make the required blocks.

giving the defender an unabated line to the punter. That wasn't a scheme issue. It was a case of a blocker simply not doing his job.

Well the guy literally ran right up the middle, untouched, through multiple blockers so its not like there was some kind of trickery involved.
