Fried doves with grits and gravy! Yes sir. I would contend that fried quail are better, but doves are wonderful too.

Great gun. I have shot it for skeet and very smooth. I bought a Beretta a400 Xplor 20ga two yrs ago with Kickoff and it is a sweet shooter. Took it pheasant hunting for first hunt and went 5 for 5. I was sold just because it's so light yet no kick. I have shot skeet 9s to 3" steel duck loads and never a jam. The a300 is solid gun but you almost always good with Beretta.
I haven't priced the a300 in a while but for the money for 12ga dove hunting, I had a Frenchii and it's the best shooter I have used in that range. My 1100 doesn't like those light loads so it turned into my turkey gun.

Yeah I looked at the a400. Little out of my price range. But the new a300 ultima has the kickoff. But I couldn’t get over that ridiculous bolt pull.

Franchi would get my vote too !!! I have the Franchi Intensity Camo, 26inch 12ga. and it is a sweet shooter -- at the time I bought mine, the Infinity was not available for 3 1/2in. shells -- now they are and you can shoot 2 3/4,3,or 3 1/2 inch without changing anything.
Franchi weighs 6.7 lbs.____ $850.00 Beretta A300 weighs 7.1 lbs. (with 28in. barrel ) ____ $800.00
Both are great guns and very reliable -- seems that, Bass Pro Shop has both available for shipping***

I have a friend that owns one. The action is smooth and it's well balanced. It's matched well for the price.
I shoot a Versa Max which is more mid range price and has larger exhaust ports for less recoil. It's more versatile with 00 shot as well.

I don't shoot at critters but do have a 12 gauge Bounty Hunter for people.

I go with #1 buck for the home defense - but 00 don't play either. just have a couple of extra mops.

Have one with the wood stock. Real light gun. Added some Briley weights to it for sporting clays. Would be a good field gun. Mine never malfunctions, solid internals, pretty foolproof design. Can’t go wrong with it.

I have a Beretta A400 28 gauge and love it. A Beretta of any stripe is incredibly reliable and to me is very smooth.

I bought an A300 back in 2015. Still use it today. Still use it for doves and waterfowl with no cycling issues yet. For its price range it is absolutely unbeatable in the world of autoloaders.

Try shooting a CZ 1012. I won one and otherwise wouldn’t have heard of it and I’m here to tell ya, it runs anything in any condition. I ended up buying a CZ Supreme OU because of it and love the company!
