be one of the best, realistic, and non-biased college football talk show hosts around. I love his takes, he's a Clemson grad, but is able to see college football in such a way that his own biases rarely creep out.
Anyone else think so?
If you've never listened to him, give him a shot.

They think he comes at them every chance he gets. I've never heard him rip them with the exception of the Butch Davis scandal. Even then he said in the beginning until facts come out he wasn't going to talk about it.

Use to listen to him all the time, he had a show on 610 the FAN up in Charlotte but had contract disputes and walked away a few years back. He had interesting pov's and great guests

I like Packer, but I think he would, as someone said previously, be considered a dumper. I think he's definitely a glass is half-empty type of guy when it comes to Clemson football. However, I can't blame him for that. Other than that, I think he's realistic and objective as you've said. I enjoy his show.
I also like Bill King. His show is on right before Packman's. I think it starts at 6:00 A.M. ET. I catch it on the way to work and then online once I get to work. Actually listening to Bill King right now.
I hate the paul finebaum show. It's basically an arrogant SEC/Alabama redneckfest.

don't have satellite radio anymore, but i did enjoy primetime with the packman when it came on wccp.
hate that we missed the first half to get walt deptula instead, but hearing him rip on the qcb was always great fun.

Packer is great... I wish there was a way to trade Finebaum's afternoon spot for Packer. He's the best on Sirius, followed by Bill King. I was addicted to his show on WFNZ in Charlotte, and ever since he left, the afternoon show sucks.

but think sometimes he goes a little too far to be unbiased. It's a fine line to walk between objectivity and bashing, and he toes that line on occasion, but usually does a good job.
