Did this year's Tigers overachieve?

Jan 2, 2018, 11:15 AM

Clearly, the answer is "yes."

When a team overachieves, I see that as a sign of good coaching. That comforts me when I'm tempted to nitpick some aspects of the gameplan/coaching from last night.

And a question: How does Bama build the bodies of their players into monsters? I mean, sirriously.

A lot of Bama's players are monsters before they step on campus

The definition of awesome!

Anyone disappointed with this season needs to a reality check.

We all wanted to win it all. I get it. I’m really proud of this team and a bad game against Alabama is not going to change that.

We didnt over achieve. We were better than everyone on...

our schedule. We just don't match up well with Bama bc we don't have a downfield passing game.

I can see your point. And mostly agree

except for maybe Auburn. In terms of (recruiting) stars on the roster, I think Auburn had a lot more 4 and 5 star players, and FSU had more.

We have outperformed most schools that have out-recruited us over the past 5-6 years.

So you expected 12 wins and a third CFP appearance?

If so, kudos. To me, that is overachieving.

No I didnt...

but I do think the ACC took a small step back from last year. Had this team played in last year's Atlantic division, I think FSU and Louisville wouldve been losses. I didnt expect FSU and Louisville to be average at best.

I think they played up to exactly who they were.

That's in hindsight of course.

Alabama is simply better than every other team. Period. They get better player and unless you get a Watson or newton type talent they are gonna beat you down.
