Was “by rule, LSU gets one play”….and not “by rule, LSU has 2 seconds and the clock will start on my whistle “?

I know that rule changed where it isn’t as long as it used to be. I wonder if it has something to do with the combination of call reviewed and first down. I figured it would be talked about somewhere today because it was weird. What an odd ending to that game. LSU screws it up then fsu has the game in their hands and tosses it what a dumb call there. Then they gave up the whole field. All the shenanigans with the play you speak of. Then lsu misses pat. It was interesting to watch and then in the last 5 minutes it became who can lose this game rather than who can win it.
