Anybody know why Davis didn’t start?

I know he hasn’t had his best stuff of late but he looks like an ace today. Maybe Monte was hoping to get more out of henny so we could potentially pitch Davis another time? But he’s most likely done for the weekend now. But he absolutely shut that offense down, great job 30

Starting Hennessy didn’t hurt anything. Monte was hoping to get 6 or 7 innings out of him. But because that didn’t happen he took no chances and went to Sharpe to seal the win. I think I’d rather struggle early with Hennessy and Sharpe shut them down. Then have Sharpe start and struggle with Hennessy in the 8th or 9th innings. I’m very happy we didn’t have to use spiers today.
