is it a cool stadium and worth seeing a game there?
Cubs are out of town the weekend I'm there probably cuz Dead&Co are using their stadium

The park isn't a beautiful and majestic place, but is worth going to. They have statues in the out field concourse of the all-time greats which are pretty cool. If you go, get lower level or bleacher seats. Some years ago some idiots bought upper deck tickets and moved down to good seats only to run on the field and attack an umpire. This caused them to not allow the UDPs down to the bottom level.

But I did see a game at Coors field vs the White Sox the year they won the series. A lady working there got me upgraded from outfield to 3rd row behind dugout.

After a panic show at UIC. I was tripping on L and it was rough AF there. I had my dog w me who was super aggressive (RIP Greta) so no one messed w me.

It's not that cool, but the local neighborhoods are well worth a late night stroll if you're looking to add a bit of added excitement to your visit.
Too bad the Cubs are away. Wrigley and the area around it are very cool.

Sox-Royals, as I recall. Night game, not the wisest choice. I was up there for a conference, I always wanted to go to a Sox game. Took the L Train to/from. I think I saw a guy get murdered, at least beaten to an inch of his life. Got the full Southside Chicago experience. That L Train is an experience in itself.
Stay in a group outside the stadium walking to your car or the L. Due to stadium rules w/metal detectors, you won't be able to have any type weapon on you, so you are ripe fruit and the ferals know this.
I would strongly recommend a DAY game if you go.
Conversely, I have been to dozens of Cubs games over the years, stayed in Wrigleyville hotels. Almost never felt unsafe staying and walking around that area.
