By the goal line. They didn’t even review it and I could t find a replay of just that play. Looked like he broke the plane.

I thought at the time they should review the play. I’m with you in thinking he scored.

Might have been reviewed if we didn't hurry to the line

YES! It is a touchdown if the ball crosses the goal line. I didn’t see any of his body touch the ground before he had the ball across the goal line.

I think he was a yard short but I don’t how he caught the ball. That’s twice this year he has caught a ball he never saw coming. Look what I found lol.

They did show during the pregame of Clemson/Georgia where he was making those odd angle catches to train himself to be ready for weirdly throw balls. I've always been skeptical of stuff like that but it seems to be working out great for Brinny.

Brinny scored and that was an INT in the OU OSU game not a catch. Follow me for more hot takes.

Anybody else actually care if Briningstool actually scored on his catch

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I care if the Referees get it right-even if it means a review

Because when we play Alabama or Georgia in the playoffs it may mean the difference between a touchdown and a FG and the game is decided by fewer points it matters.

Also could mean the ball is placed on the 1 and we fumble with the other team recovering for a scoop and score. Flashbacks to last season and the WVU game.

Must have been same refs that failed to call PI against PSU and ruled it a catch for OSU instead of a pick by the Ducks.

I thought it was very possible that he crossed the line. We elected to go quickly instead of taking our time or even a time out to encourage a review, which we have done in similar situations in the past. In the end we got the same result and didn’t waste a TO trying to get a review. Shows confidence in the offense as well. Win-win-win.

I thought he did...the ball just has to break the plain of the goal line..it doesn't even have to cross all the way...I felt he definitely accomplished that and it should've been reviewed.

It’s difficult to tell exactly when he hit the ground, but I think he was just short. The spot was garbage of course. He was inside the 1 yd line.

Exactly. He rolled into the end zone and it was hard to tell where the ball was when his b u t t or lower back hit the ground. I kind of like that we kept the momentum and ran a quick play instead of waiting to see if they would review or, even worse, calling a TO to try to get a review. Offense had momentum and was clicking, so pound it in and move on. I remember some of those situations last year when we were tentative in the red zone and it didn’t turn out so well. I like the decision to line it up quickly and confidently and punch it in.

Said that if Clemson hadn't lined up so fast and ran the play (which scored) they probably would've reviewed it and given Jake the TD.

He had the ball cradled in his belly. Of it had been extended, it may have crossed.

I couldn't tell because that one angle is all we have.

It's ESPiN's way of screwing over the ACC. Send the A-Team to SEC games and the culls to us.
