I'd be curious to see how they held up

Glad to see someone is using some common sense and putting backpack straps on them. My current way of carrying a fully loaded 40 quart is putting the strap on my forehead and supporting the load with my back. I look insane but it's effective. Probably worth trying out for that price. I figure if I get more than a couple of years out of a soft cooler I'm doing OK.

I will be putting ice in it this evening and testing. Will report back this weekend.

For the most part, roto-molded coolers will all be the same.

The big differences will be price per capacity, the quality of the handles, and the quality of the seal on top. I would imagine the quality of the build in soft coolers would be where the the differences start becoming broader. For typical use, my guess is that the Ozark coolers are just fine. It's when you decide to carry them out to sea on a commercial fishing expedition that those subtle differences become more apparent. I do just fine tailgating with an 60 quart rolling Igloo Cube. It held up like a champ for the last 4 football seasons until it went flying out of the back of the truck after the Belk Bowl this year because some drunk didn't shut the tailgate when we left.
