Any reason Goodwin is coaching LBs?

Or was that just the open spot? Wondering if Wes coaches DT and we hire a LB coach if we end up with better options there. Seems like there is some flexibility perhaps. Really hoping for Bowers or another NFL guy, though.

He’d use some lame reference to a Clemson historical figure and tell no one who he really was.
I’m not Wes, but am a fan and think it was the right move on defense. Offense… not so much.

The LBs are the QBs of the defences so I think it’s to get them to be able to call the right plays and understand the concept of the system.

Typically Linebackers are the Quarterbacks of the defense. He's better served being very in tune with his LBs and what they are trying to accomplish on each play/series.

defensive calls on the field. So, to me it makes sense that the DC would be the linebackers coach, since he actually comes up with those defensive schemes that the linebackers call. But, that's just mee.
