Any new info on new football analyst?

Jan 7, 2018, 11:03 AM

Maybe when it’s dies down and is a little slow David Hood could write a new article on the new football analyst?
I’m sure someone has replaced Mickey Conn and Lemanski Hall.

Anyone else have any info on any hires we’ve made recently(concerning analyst)?

Go Tigers!!

into the 10th coach on the field role.

Maybe the OP's referring to the back-fill to replace LH?

Clemson football team hires 10th assistant coach with addition of Lemanski Hall

By Grace Raynor graynor@postandcourier.com Jan 5, 2018 Updated Jan 5, 2018

CLEMSON — Nine months after the NCAA Division I Council passed a rule that now allows college football programs to hire a 10th on-field assistant coach, Clemson has done exactly that.

For the Tigers, the new addition comes in the form of a familiar face. The university's Board of Trustees officially approved the hiring of Lemanski Hall on Friday as a defensive line coach through the 2020 season. A former defensive analyst, he will join Todd Bates, the current line coach. Bates will coach the defensive tackles and Hall will handle the defensive ends.

“Lemanski is very knowledgeable and will make a great contribution to our staff," Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said in a statement. "I know he is excited to be on the field with our defensive ends. We are excited to have five assistant coaches on each side of the ball."

Spit-ballin' of course...

I believe those were the titles both Conn and Hall had on staff prior to their promotion to full time coaches. As analysts, they could attend practices, but could not coach or go off campus to recruit. That's my understanding. NCAA allowed that position either in 2014 or 2015 I believe.

Who you can hire is restricted now

It was a perfect way to bring successful HS coaches like Conn and Richardson in as future assistant coaches, but the new restriction on connections to recruits makes it hard to do that.

Looks like candidates are already on staff, HS coaches are out of the running now unless you are sure there won’t be a recruit who played for them in the next three years.
