Any injury updates on Lawson and Alexander? I am

Jan 2, 2016, 5:05 PM

hoping Alexander's was cramp and not hamstring.

I am extremely worried about Bama's recent improvement in the passing game. Coker threw for 286 yards vs Mich State and was slinging it deep to receivers that seemed very comfortable going deep. I feel like our passing game will be off without Cain. We didn't have much of a deep passing game in the Orange Bowl, and fortunately didn't really need one.

I know Alabama is a huge challenge and they are at the top of their game, but I really feel if we had Mike Williams or a Mike Williams type, it would be anybody's game. I just haven't seen our receivers getting open vs South Carolina, UNC, or Oklahoma. We've had good passing numbers and catches, but we are always doing it by threading the needle and having someone right on us.

I know Bama got 7 pts from a kickoff return so their offense scored 31 instead of 38 vs Mich State, but there is more than just Henry there. They were slinging the ball down the field. Ironically, I'm not even sure if we are capable of the long ball at this point.

One thing to keep in mind is the game plan that was used. Clemson clearly watchedefined the Texas tape on OU and found that pounding it on them works, and it did. The deep ball wasn't there against OU but I don't think we really tried, at least not much.

With that being said, the coaching staff had the correct scheme to beat OU and I'm confident they'll have the correct scheme to beat Bama. Will we win? Time will tell, but I would bet that we will bring the right strategy.

I checked Cokers stats this year and he had five games with negative run yards. We should be able to get to him defensively and force him out of the pocket. Way too early to be alarmed. Of course, with Henry in there, he doesn't need to run. We all know how better Henry is than our QB, after all he won the Heisman.
Up the middle, up the middle, pass, run!!

No worries. We will expose Bama.

Tigers win by at least 14.
