My prayers are with the mailman and his family for a miraculous recovery. No recriminations from me based on my #### raising and testosterone-fueled male driving from 16-24, but Dabo has some difficult decisions after the court system finishes with Mr. Davis. Subject to the unknown condition of mailman, Clemson DB may still have a chance to suit up this year or next, but he won't be driving legally for awhile. The accident victim getting his health back is the only important issue at this stage.

Reckless driving 1st offense I think is 6 points off his license, and probably a $4 or $500 dollar fine, and his insurance premium will be very expensive!!! He would be better off getting him a DUI MoPed!!!!

Needs some serious community service to go with a one year suspension and a hefty fine.

Dude, it’s a fine + loss of points + higher insurance + PTI service hours. You make it sound like a capital punishment case

There are probably a dozen articles including one here, no? That’s embarrassing.

Reference attached ... should those "severe injuries" result in a secondary infection which results in death or a permanent disability, then Davis does not skate away. I'm a bit surprised at the those on Tnet who are dismissing the mailman's condition as long as he's alive and requiring "months or longer for recovery."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ryan Young·Writer (AP) Sun, August 1, 2021, 10:03 PM· Clemson football Fred Davis was allegedly driving 115 mph when he crashed into a mail truck and seriously injured the mail carrier. Clemson cornerback Fred Davis was arrested on Sunday after he allegedly drove 60 miles per hour over the speed limit last month before hitting a mail truck, according to The Associated Press.
Davis, per the report, was driving 115 mph when he hit a mail truck on July 21. The driver of the mail truck “sustained severe injuries,” and “will require months or longer for recovery.”

SocMan2®! I will pass no judgment on Davis. My prayers are with the mailman for a full recovery.
Lord, the crazy things I did as a young idiot - there but for the grace of God go I.

…up to the point of coverage limitations. Since drivers in SC seldom carry more than 50-100-50, the victim must resort to a civil suit against defendant in order to be made whole. The victim will also be able to avail himself of funds and care under Worker’s Compensation.
