We offered him a scholarship but there seemed to be a lack of interest on one or both sides.

I watched him play last year. He looked super. But, I think somebody on this board said he was firmly committed somewhere else.

Maybe now that ND doesn't look so promising, he will re-think his choice. When he came to Clemson, all the coaches did was ask him to run some routes, catch a few passes and basically go through a mini workout and he said no. Well then, no offer.
